The Streams mod gives water flow in Minecraft a serious overall. It makes rivers and general currents more realistic with a natural flow you’d see from water in real life.

Water will now flow naturally down blocks until it reaches a pool of water or another stream. This allows you to make or find really neat looking waterways that look much more dynamic than just a static pool of water. You’ll see the difference between standing water and if the water flows to a bigger area.

You’ll even notice water curving naturally around bends.

And the current will actually pull you if you’re in a boat.

It would be a good idea to start a new world with this mod as it may destroy current worlds. You’ll also need an additional API found here.
