The Gardening Tools mod adds a few new items for quick and easy farming in Minecraft. The base tool is the irrigation core that allows you to cover a large area of farmable soil with fewer blocks of water. Plus it can be used above ground and below.

The cultivator allows you to till soil within the range of the irrigation core. Just right-click the grass by the core and a line of soil will till itself before your eyes. It’s best to also clear out any grass or blocks in the way since they will prevent the cultivator from working on that piece of grass.

Then all you need is the planter and seeds in your inventory. Right-click on the freshly tilled soil with the planter and the seeds will start to grow!
