The Blood Magic Mod is a way to take your Minecraft world to the realms of the forbidden by letting you conjure runes, sigils and orbs and perform rituals all with the power of blood. Whether it’s a sacrifice you take from yourself or from a mob, the power is in your hands to control your world in aspects you might not have considered before. There are many precise steps in order to take advantage of these tools and abilities and that should be expected since you are attempting to harness essentially demonic power for potentially questionable moral gain. But if dark magic and spells are what you seek then look no further than Blood Magic. There’s an in game book called the Sanguine Scientiem that will help guide you and get you started or you can check the forum link below for more comprehensive instructions.
The basic elements to this mod are the Sacrificial Knife and the Dagger of Sacrifice. The sacrificial knife will take blood from yourself and the dagger of sacrifice will take blood from other mobs. So you’ll have the choice of how you want to obtain the blood necessary for the magic to work but if you use it on yourself too much it can and will kill you so be careful.
And after that you’ll need an altar. While the altar will certainly complete the overall aesthetic, it is also essential for what exactly you’re trying to conjure. These altars come in six different tiers and they all naturally get increasingly larger while also allowing you to do greater things with each increase. It will definitely take a very long time and will be very costly to max out your altars but with the abilities you’ll eventually learn it will all be worth it. The amount of work you have to put in to perform rituals is less about overall difficulty and more about the challenge and reward for doing proper research and reaping the rewards of your dedicated work. The amount of work put into this mod truly allows the player to fully immerse themselves in the realm of the arcane and brings in the broader skillset of mages in many other role playing games to Minecraft!
Blood orbs will help to keep your altars well stocked with blood as the magic wouldn’t be called blood magic if it didn’t require constant usage. The orbs will then act as containers so you don’t need to continually supply the altars with fresh blood. And eventually you’ll be able to harness Life Essence which is the key element when it comes time to conjure and alter tools and sigils.
There are many great things you can accomplish with sigils, from the very basic to complex. If you’d like to conjure water you can craft a Water Sigil. And the same goes for lava. Simply create a Lava Sigil and you have a portable source right in your inventory. Would you like to fly using your newly discovered Blood Magic abilities? An Air Sigil will get you off the ground in no time.
Protect yourself from drowning, fire and fall damage with the Sigil of Elemental Affinity. Repel arrows and other projectiles with the Sigil of the Whirlwind. Or create a bridge right under your feat with the Sigil of the Phantom Bridge.
This is just the tip of the iceberg with this mod. There’s a host of new abilities to unlock hidden deep in this mod. You can summon enemies as well as ward them off with advanced rituals and even craft your own custom potions. Be sure to reference the wiki here for all the info you’ll need to get started and learn all you can about the realm of Blood Magic.

This is a fine mod for messing around in creative mode, but incredibly underpowered otherwise, considering the 4 BEACONS required for some good sigils. Think about it, you would have to defeat the Wither 4 times. Altogether making this mod useless for survival. You would already have full diamond by the time you get 4 beacons.
not if you collaborate this mod with other mods then it wouldn’t be that hard to obtain 4 beacons
Dude withers are super easy to kill. Just go to the nether mine up, find a suitable patch of bedrock (3×3 and empty space between it and top layer of bedrock) then use piston to push wither into bedrock. Then it just suffocates to death in its inescapable prison. As for getting the skulls, there are several mods which add in ways to make mob farms basically like in actually additions, or enderio. Or if you don’t feel like that get voidcraft, which adds in new stuff one thing being a mob that drops charred bone about as regularly as creepers drop gunpowder, and you can use that to craft wither skulls.
Just to let people know, this mod conflicts with A LOT of other mods. It was the flaw in my whole modpack which took me quite a while to pinpoint.
