Better Foliage provides a significant improvement in how the Minecraft environment looks. It keeps the same blocky aesthetic but makes everything much more natural and inviting. Grass and trees look much improved and there is even some new greenery to behold.

Leaves on trees look bushier and they even fall to the ground. Grass is more natural in terms of flowing down hills. The grass will adhere to the sides of the block so patches mesh together better. And you’ll also notice grass blades when you get up close.

Cacti also got a bit of an upgrade and are far less blocky.

And logs are now round so they appear more as they would in the real world. But in case you still want that square log look you can put logs next to other logs and they will retain their original shape or you can make giant logs!
